CUNA’s FAMILY CRITICAL ILLNESS PLAN(FCIP)

 

 

When a serious diagnosis strikes, there’s nothing like the support of your loved ones. Add to that support the Family Critical Illness Plan which proves up to $30,000 in critical illness coverage.

 

Your benefits include:

The Family Critical Illness Plan provides critical illness coverage for you and up to 5 of your eligible family members.
No medical is required when you sign up, which makes it easy for you and your family to get the insurance coverage you need.
50% refund of premiums paid if no claim has been made in relation to an Insured Person.
This plan is flexible and allows you to select coverage that is right for you and your family. You may choose coverage amounts for each covered family that are less than or equal to your coverage.

FCIP Plan Premium:

Choose from one of the first four plans (up to $200,00) when you enrol, with the option to purchase additional coverage to the maximum of $300,000, after the six-month waiting period.

Your insurance coverage must be equal to or higher than the coverage amounts selected for your eligible family members.

 

Who is covered?

To enjoy coverage under any of the coverage options with the Family Critical Illness Plan, you must be a member of CECU.

The plan covers you and any combination of the following persons:

  • Your spouse or significant other
  • Any combination of up to two persons from your parent or parents-in-law (these persons must be enrolled before the age of 60)
  • Your children (including dependent children under your legal guardianship, aged 1 though 25 and who are not yet married)
  • Children who are permanently disabled are covered for the duration of their lives one they are enrolled before age 26.
